3D Audio is playing an important role as an integrated part of the electronic self-protection and communication equipment. A powerful tool for situational awareness which improves the operator’s situation perception and thereby reducing response time.

The AM3D audio solutions provide the user with the ability to spatially separate simultaneous audio cues. Thereby the user will be able to hear sound sources as coming from outside, and at the same time being able to locate these sources. The advantage of this is a more natural sound using stereo headsets.

The 3D Audio system positions sound sources in the headset in any direction: both vertical and horizontal. A 3D Audio system can thus present a wingman or hostile fighter/missile in its actual position, e.g. above, below, to the left etc.
