Mr Larsen starts immediately. Mr Larsen joins AM3D from Motorola, and has previously held senior and executive management positions for a number of leading companies developing mobile devices. He holds a master’s degree in acoustical engineering from Aalborg University, and his credentials include 18 years of R&D as well as management experience. Mr Larsen was a part of the group that made the basic research within 3D sound recording and playback techniques at Aalborg University, which led to the patented techniques and HRTF database upon which AM3D was established. “We are very pleased that Mr Larsen has chosen to join us. We strongly believe that his skills and experience will contribute greatly towards further developing our audio enhancement solutions. His efforts will also be instrumental in bringing our products to market more effectively,” says Mr Sven Vestergaard, CEO of AM3D. Mr Larsen will be responsible for managing AM3D’s R&D and product management towards all market segments, but also believes that certain consumer audio segments look promising and are poised for growth. “The market for flat screen TVs has been exploding, and the units are starting to get so thin, that good sound quality is becoming a challenge.
