AM3D delivers enhanced audio for Jabra’s HALO Bluetooth stereo headset

Industry-leading provider of audio enhancement solutions AM3D is set to become an important part of the next generation in stereo Bluetooth headsets for a mobile world: Jabra - the world’s number one headset provider - last week announced the release for retail sale of the new and super-slim HALO Bluetooth-enabled headset, which comes complete with AM3D’s market leading Power Bass and Transducer Equalization audio enhancement (Zirene®) technology.

AM3D’s Power Bass and Equalization solutions will provide a highly noticeable boost to the audio performance of the HALO giving the new product a significant competitive edge and improved overall quality. The HALO is targeted towards a potential market of tens of millions of users who download and listen to music on mobile phones and other Bluetooth-capable portable devices.

Denmark-based GN Netcom – the parent company of the Jabra brand – is extremely pleased with the cooperation with AM3D and the ongoing mutual efforts to bring the best audio experience to market.
“The quality of AM3D’s enhancement solution has been excellent. We’re very happy with the good audio quality reviews that our previous AM3D-enabled products have received, and with the excellent technical support and design help offered by AM3D during the development phase for HALO. Altogether we expect that HALO will be received very well in the marketplace,” says Anders Bo Rasmussen, Director of Product Management for GN Netcom Mobile Division.
AM3D is also pleased about being part of the next generation in headsets.

“We are extremely happy about our continued cooperation with Jabra. Our solutions have the potential to add significant audio quality to products constrained by necessary limitations in size and manufacturing costs. We believe that’s exactly what we have done for the Jabra headset,” says Sven Vestergaard, CEO of AM3D.

Recent market developments may result in a further boost to the prospects of success for the HALO: Apple has recently announced that the OS 3.0 for the iPhone and iPod touch products will support Bluetooth stereo. This extends the addressable market for HALO and the potential market reach of AM3D’s audio solutions to more than 30 million iPhone and iPod touch users worldwide.

About Power Bass and Transducer Equalization:
AM3D’s Transducer Equalization solution uses advanced signal processing to compensate for non-ideal transducer frequency response. The patented Power Bass adds a highly noticeable richness and depth to headset bass sound experience based on psychoacoustic principles and non-linear signal processing.
The use of psychoacoustic enhancement technology makes AM3D’s solutions unique as well as extraordinarily effective. AM3D products are purely software-based and designed for seamless integration into the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) of the portable device.

AM3D provides a full range of audio enhancement solutions for portable music devices and mobile phones including components for mono and stereo widening, virtual surround, treble enhancement, reverb, and much more.
